The State Treasury’s cost support’s customer service has been awarded the Finnish Customer Experience Award 2020. The award is given as recognition to organisations that have helped to create unforgettable customer experiences in different customer encounters. The recipients of the award are published every year as a part of the International Customer Experience Day which was organised this year for the eighth time and this time falls on October 6.
The winner of the Customer Experience Award 2020 was chosen by CXPA Finland and an expert panel consisting of their partners.
Exceptional project in exceptional circumstances
From a number of proposals, the State Treasury’s customer service for cost support was selected as the winner for the award. The purpose of the project was for the State Treasury to manage the payment of fixed-term cost support for companies. The cost support was intended to support companies affected by corona.
According to Sirte Pihlaja, the CEO of CXPA, choosing cost support as the winner of the award was easy: “We particularly appreciate how the project has kept customer consideration and customer experience in mind from the start, and the implementation progressed side by side with corresponding legislation. This is an exceptional project and a great example of the kind of an accomplishment that has been needed in this exceptional situation.“
The State Treasury gladly welcomes the award as a great recognition for the entire working group involved in the cost support project. “It’s amazing that the team that gave their all can get recognition for their work. This award-winning customer experience act was a rescue mission in the midst of an exceptional crisis. We live in a time when everything we do should help others,” says Laura Sorva, the project director for the cost support project.
All cost support applications have been processed
Most of the cost support applications have now been processed. You can see statistics of the support on the cost support statistics page.
The State Treasury’s task is to coordinate other subsidies related to the coronavirus with the fixed-term cost support for companies. This means that other subsidies will be deducted from the cost support fully or partially in accordance with the legislation.
The State Treasury will continue working on this for the rest of the year.
Possible new financial support for businesses
The government is planning new support for companies related to the coronavirus situation. The State Treasury is also planned to implement the new support. In order to receive information about the new support, it is advisable to follow the information provided by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
The State Treasury has forwarded the customer feedback it received on the cost support to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. The feedback is thus known to the drafters for possible new support.
We will keep you informed of the progress of the situation as soon as possible.
