It has been possible to apply for cost support from the State Treasury since 7.7.2020. To date, the State Treasury has paid nearly 75 million euros in cost support. Approximately 2 200 companies have received cost support and the average amount per company is 34 000 euros.
Cost support is meant for companies whose turnover has fallen significantly due to Covid-19 and who have fixed costs that are difficult to adjust.
Up-to-date information on the number of cost support applications and decisions made can be found on the Statistics on Cost Support -page. Statistics are updated every weekday
The cost support application period will end in two weeks
Cost support is applied for electronically on the State Treasury’s website. There is two more weeks left to apply. We hope that all companies to which cost support is intended, apply for cost support as soon as possible.
The application must be saved and submitted on the electronic server no later than 31.8.2020. It is a good idea to submit your application well in advance, because cost support can not to be applied for after the deadline.
The application service currently has about 2 000 unfinished, unsubmitted applications. These applications must also be submitted by the deadline for them to be processed.
If a company does not have the opportunity to apply for cost support electronically, the application can also be sent by post. In this case, the application must be found at the Registry of the State Treasury no later than 31.8.2020.
Instructions for applying for cost support can be found on our website. Our customer service helps via phone and chat.
Cost support applications have been reprocessed
The State Treasury informed of an error that was detected in the salary information used to calculate the amount of cost support on 4.8.2020 and immediately started corrective actions.
Due to a technical error, for some companies, salary costs were not allocated to the support period, which is April and May of 2020. Therefore, some cost support applications had to be reprocessed. To date, an additional 1,8 million euros in cost support has been paid to about 330 companies due to this technical error. The amount will increase in the coming days. A total of approximately 2,5 million euros in cost support will be recovered from about 430 companies. The State Treasury’s payment processors have contacted these companies by telephone.
We are grateful that customers have showed understanding for the reprocessing of decisions. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The State Treasury has taken actions to prevent the error from recurring. The cost support application service continues as normal.
