In 2024, we initiated the redesign of the front page of Statetreasury.fi based on feedback from our customers and staff. The goal of the redesign is to improve the discoverability of information.
As a result of the redesign, the front page became lighter by slightly reducing and resizing elements, tightening spacing, and better highlighting topics requested by customers.
- A link to our electronic services was added at the top of the page, as requested by our customers multiple times.
- The new front page now features four highlight boxes at the top instead of six, providing direct access to services, statistics, publications, and contact information.
- The front-page news list was condensed, and the blogs were combined into the same list with the news.
- Events also have their place on the front page.
- Additionally, we offer an easy pathway to our other websites directly from the front page of Statetreasury.fi.
The visual elements of the front page were also slightly updated by reducing the number of photos. By cutting down on photos, we were also able to slightly reduce the carbon footprint of Statetreasury.fi.
Positive feedback from the customer panel
At the end of the year, we asked our customer panel for their opinions on the redesign through the State Treasury’s customer panel newsletter. The panel rated the redesign very positively. In the survey, the average score for all the listed improvements was 4.3 on a scale of 1 to 5.
Comments included:
“Looks like a clear overall package.”
“Good to improve the discoverability of services.”
“Clear, minimalist.”
