The State Treasury has now processed all cost support applications received during the application period in the summer.
The business cost support that could be applied for from the State Treasury from 7 July to 31 August 2020 was intended for companies and associations, whose turnover had fallen significantly due to the corona crisis and which had costs that are difficult to adjust.
The State Treasury received 12,875 cost support applications. To date, approximately 127 million EUR has been paid in support. The State Treasury has received a total of about 1,100 demands for rectification of cost support decisions, almost all of which have been already processed.
Integration of other corona subsidies continues
The State Treasury’s task is to integrate other subsidies related to the Covid-19 situation that were granted to companies in 2020 with the temporary business cost support. This means that other subsidies are deducted from the business cost support in whole or in part in accordance with the law.
Integration work is expected to continue until the beginning of the next year.
Second application round of cost support
The State Treasury is preparing for the second application round of cost support.
The Government’s proposal on new cost support is currently being discussed in Parliament. The law is expected to enter into force in mid-December.
The State Treasury handles the payment of cost support on the basis of the law. It is therefore not yet possible to apply for support. The electronic application will be opened as soon as possible after the entry into force of the law and decree.
