How can I receive compensation abroad?
In payments abroad the IBAN number and name of the account holder must be provided to the State Treasury.

Can compensation be paid to someone other than the injured party?
Yes, you have to provide an itemised power of attorney to the State Treasury concerning the matter.

Can compensation be awarded if the deprivation of liberty has lasted less than 24 hours?
No.

Can the decision be appealed?
No decision of the State Treasury may be appealed against. If you are dissatisfied with a decision made by the State Treasury, you may file a complaint against the government with the district court in the order stipulated on civil disputes. You have to file the complaint within three months of receiving information on the decision made by the State Treasury.

What is the level of compensation for anguish?
According to the compensation policy, the standard compensation is EUR 120/day.
