Henni Purtonen

Communications Specialist, Communications

Henni Purtonen works as a Communications Specialist at the State Treasury Finland. She is responsible for media relations, as well as communications of public procurement, the final central government accounts, and the development of crisis communication for the central government payment transactions. She has also been a scriptwriter and host of the podcasts “Tiedon luo” and “Työkulttuuripodi”. Henni is the right person to contact if you want to know what’s happening in these areas or need help finding a suitable interviewee.

Current phenomena, data-driven management, and managing uncertainty related to change are topics she enjoys. In influencing and communication, she is fascinated by projects that challenge existing practices – you must be ready to renew and seek solutions to societal problems.

Previously, Henni has been engaged in sustainability reporting within the central government, and at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry with bioeconomy, sustainable finance and impact investing. She believes that the demand for societal impact will grow in the coming years and change the ways organizations, investors, and citizens plan, develop, procure, and act. Henni aims to understand her areas of responsibility well enough to communicate about them clearly and comprehensibly.
